About

Changelink is a Sammamish-based nonprofit that gives homeless people necessities. These kits can be kept in your car and given out when you see a person in need!

Q&A

What do I do with my kit?
The kits can be kept in you car, so that when you see a homeless person, you can hand it to them through your window.
What if I feel unsafe?
If at any time you feel unsafe you can drive away. Usually homeless people's hostility is caused by hostility towards them to the public. Be kind and compassionate to them and they usually will be back. Some have mental health issues so be mindful of that. If it doesn't feel right, then it probably isn't.
Why can't we hand out the kit for you?
While some people may feel unsafe giving out their kit, we encourage it for many reasons. Everyone has given a gift at some point in their life and knows the feeling of joy when you give someone something. We want you to be able to experience that. We also know that when we've tried giving out kits for people in the past it has been very popular and difficult for us to fulfill.
Why do our kits cost money?
It's simple! It costs us money to make them. We are considering making the kits free and accepting donations, but before we do this we need to ensure we are financially ready.
What do you do with extra money?
All proceeds not needed to make new kits will be donated to Congregations for the Homeless.
Do you accept donations?
We gladly accept donations of money in person. If you would like to donate goods for us to put in future kits please contact us online or email at [email protected].
